I have a 55 gallon tank that has several pieces of driftwood, a few
artificial plants, and several caves. I use 2 whisper filters, which keeps
my tank really clean. I have a 200 watt Penn Plax heater, which I keep at 78
degrees. I have a bubble wall that runs the bubbles in the center of the
tank. I started out with 6 mollies,(2 marbled- 2 dalmation lyrtail, and 2
dalmation sailfins) and 8 Swortails, (2 males, and 6 females). I have given
those fish away to my cousin. My tank now includes:
- 1 Black tail shark (about 4 inches)
- 5 Orange fin botias (3-4 inches)
- 5 Cory Cats (1-2 inches)
- 4 Kissing gouramis (2-3 inches)
- 4 Three spot gourami (2-3 inches)
My gang all get along pretty good, although I have noticed the kissing
gourami sometime try to kiss the 3 spots, and they don't seem to like it
much. And my Black Shark gets into it with the botias sometimes.The botias
like to chase each other around, and sometime they bump into the shark and
he goes chasing them. No serious harm though. I'm pretty new to the
hobby(about 3 months)and I have to admit it's pretty addictive. Keep up the
good work, I've found your site to be very informative.
